As a family run business here at D.M.Keith we are proud to support local & national charities where we can.

So when we were approached by MacMillan Cancer Support to see if there was anyone from our family taking part in the Brave the Shave campaign (#bravetheshave) we knew we would have some volunteers to step up to the challenge.  MacMillan is a fantastic charity and offers support to those whose lives are affected by cancer.

Step forward Jon Lovell & Gemma Gosling…..

Jon Lovell from our Hull showroom was the first volunteer to bare the cold (due to our reliable British summer) and braved the shave on the 11th June.

Jon had a personal reason for raising money for this fantastic cause as he completed his shave on the anniversary of the loss of his dad, who sadly passed away from bowel cancer. As a result Jon raised £140 – which is a great contribution to the MacMillan cause.

Gemma Gosling from our Bradford showroom was a quick respondent to the challenge and was keen to raise as much money as she could as a brave shaver.

Her primary reason for doing so is down to the fact that MacMillan is such a worthy cause and the charity offers so much support to those who need it most.

Gemma set herself an original target of £500 and at present her total stands at a whopping £1075 and is still counting!!  A big thank you to everyone who has donated so far.

If you would like to contribute towards either Jon or Gemma’s brave the shave their fund raising pages are still open and you can still donate, please see the links below:

What a fantastic effort by both of our very brave shavers!!!!

On behalf of everyone at D.M.Keith we would like to congratulate both Jon & Gemma on completing a very brave challenge and raising money for a very worthy cause.  Well done we are very proud.
